Selecting a color has not always been something that was achieved with just a few clicks. Color had to be collected from pigments of the earth and then dyed into fabric. You had to collect the berries to make the purple-ish/reds or dirt to get a brown. Color, binds the creative realm together be it graphic design, photography, interior design, textile design, transportation design etc. Of course you can take pictures in black & white or make a logo black with greys but the colors are where we can experience emotion. That emotion ties us to the image, art, design or product. The colors bring the brand, the curtains, the rug, the subject, the foreground or the background to life.
The Definitive Color Wheel
ColorZilla is an impressive Firefox plugin that assists web developers and graphic designers with color related tasks.
A built-in eyedopper can get the color of any pixel and a color-picker helps playing with colors instantly. Picked colors can be added to the plugin’s palette viewer/editor.
Also, generated or sampled colors can be auto-copied in CSS RGB, Hex and other formats which is handy to paste them into image editing apps.

Freepik is a new search engine which provides a method of searching for free resources, namely photographs and vectors drawings. For web or graphic designers working with a small (or zero) budget it appears to be a really great resource.
According to the creator’s web site “Freepik’s aim is to gather all free, high quality graphics on the Internet and make accessing them quick and easy so you don’t have to waste your time searching manually through hundreds of websites.”
How does it work?
The Freepik robots go out and visit new websites daily and browse for free photos and vectors. Images are assessed and listed in order of quality. When you use Freepik the search results provide a link back to the original location of the image. The owner of the photograph gets full credit and a link back to their site. …more
SQLiteManager is an open source and web-based application for managing the popular server-less, zero-configuration SQLite databases.
It is built with PHP and can control multiple databases besides applying every action on tables or records.
Using the application, queries can be ran, MySQL queries can be converted to SQLite-compatible ones and triggers can be created/edited as well.
SQLiteManager has different skins and it is a multilingual resource with ready-to-use language files.
P.S. phpMyAdmin users will feel very comfortable as the interface is pretty similar.

foxGuide is a firefox extension that can display both horizontal and vertical guides on web pages.
The guides can be moved or removed just like the ones in Photoshop. Also, you can set the transparency and color of them for a perfect fit.
The extension has a memory which remembers the guides created per website. Even if the browser is closed or the URL is changed, the guide for that web page is stored.
foxGuide also works well for pages that have huge width/heights (supports up to 10,000px).
